24/01/21 – Snow day!

It’s snowing in London today! Big, proper flakes. It’s so wonderful. We walked to Sainsburys in the heavy snow, saying hello and chatting to two random houses on the way. There’s something about snow that makes everyone laugh and be so friendly. It’s been a wonderful day, and I’ll be sad to see it turnContinue reading “24/01/21 – Snow day!”

22/11/15 – First Wintertime Run!

…brrrr… We decided to get back on our running game this morning! It was only 3 degrees outside so it was officially our first winter run of the season. We managed 8km though, Nic’s farthest ever run! I’m an incredibly proud girlfriend! We had a lovely Sunday lunch after that at our local, then headedContinue reading “22/11/15 – First Wintertime Run!”

19/11/2013 – Freezing Autumn Run

Run, run, run. Crunch, crunch, crunch. It’s autumn! And it’s bloody cold. Went for a 30 minute run today, and was sorely disappointed in my distance. I ran 4km before deciding running home was the perfect idea – I was just SO cold. I had already lost feeling in my hands, and had aContinue reading “19/11/2013 – Freezing Autumn Run”

04/11/2013 – It’s coming!

Ahhh winter. It’ll soon be time to pull up your woolly socks, pop on a woolly hat, and slip into something more woollier. With November’s arrival it’s brought along lovely Autumny weather of bright blue skies, crisp morning, and crunchy leaves (~soggy). Hot chocolates become more frequent and did I mention it’s time to crackContinue reading “04/11/2013 – It’s coming!”

21/01/2013 – It’s like we never left Newport!

For those who have followed this blog for a while, you’ll recognise Claire as one of my most commonly featured friends (and also my flat mate for the last 6 months in London). When we lived in Newport we used to go to Revs most Mondays for naughty food.. Today we relived that and hadContinue reading “21/01/2013 – It’s like we never left Newport!”

20/01/2013 – Back to more snow

Today was most definitely another relaxing day with my mum around the house. We had Christmas dinner for lunch and it was as wonderful as in December! I’m now back in London after a 3 hour travel, luckily the snow hasn’t affected my journeys at all so I would call that a success! London isContinue reading “20/01/2013 – Back to more snow”

19/01/2013 – Don’t die boiler!

So yesterday the boiler in my family home decided to die. I was still in London so it wasn’t a problem for me – but this morning it definitely was. Spent my early hours with this view, warning my face as the boiler was getting fixed. Great news! It is now, and heating has restored!

18/01/2013 – Shut the door please!

Why oh why do the doors open when no one is getting on or off! Brrrrr… I’m on my way home to Cardiff 5 hours earlier than planned! Here’s to finishing work early!

15/01/2013 – The most amazing soup!

The photo definitely doesn’t do this dish justice. What you’re looking at is the best soup I think I’ve ever had! It’s out monthly three course meal meet up with my housemate and friend Maria. She brought this amazing pea soup to the table, and it was fantastic! Needless to say I stole the recipe!

28/12/2012 – Hakuna Matata

I’m still running round cardiff seeing old friends and it’s still wonderful! This is one of my Christmas presents, a lovely lion king themed ring, I’m a sucker for inspirational and motivating jewellery as I’ve posted before, so this will fit in just fine.
