29/09/2013 – Such a Familiar View

Ah the familiar scene of working on my iPad whilst the world flys past – I’m on my way back to London, it’s home time.
After a lovely weekend in Wilmslow I’m back riding the warm Northern underground line whilst writing this up. I have the strongest love/hate relationship with this city – it drives me mental with its packed tubes, fast paces and poor cycle lanes, but at the same time I seem to have quite the soft spot for it’s beautiful landscapes, quaint hidden streets and countless places to explore.
I fear I’m starting to fall in love with London… though knowing our relationship, we’ll be bickering by the week’s end.

04/09/2012 – Sunny Eye

It’s a break day for running today, so I decided to go for a cycle at lunch instead. I was going to head to Piccadilly to pick up my train tickets for friday, but I think it’s too far for an hours trip so I headed to The London Eye again and had a wander round. Stumbled upon Downing Street! And got a lovely sunny photo of the London eye, boiling hot today!

12/08/2012 – Olympics Closing Ceremony

Well this certainly says it all. Tonight was the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed living in such a prime area for being surrounded by the Olympic atmosphere, and tonight was no different. After a lazy day around Bow, we decided to stay in and watch the ceremony from our balcony with a glass of wine. I adore fireworks, and seeing them splash out of the Olympic Stadium was nothing but a delight. Bring on the Paralympics!

11/08/2012 – Touristing Around London

Today was such a nice day! Claire and I went around London in search for Cream tea as we really fancied a day out in London, and scones! We eventually found some in the Tate Modern (and they were amazing!), after frolicking around in water fountains, watching a bit of the Olympics and walking miles on end! It was a great day, and I went off to get a few cliché photos I’ve always wanted. A really good Saturday all in all!

10/08/2012 – That Friday Feeling

We have internet in the flat! I haven’t missed it too much as I’m in work most of the time, so I enjoy the break when I get home from technology, but it’s nice to be able to blog and browse a lot easier at home.

I got the tube home today, I know, I’m such a rebel. Took this photo just before hopping on the train. It’s expensive, about £2.90 to get the tube home, which takes me 20 minutes to cycle! But today I was feeling lazy.

28/07/2012 – Walking around London

The weekend has arrived! And after a well deserved lie-in, Claire and I went on another explore around London. We walked to Mile End park first off to eat lunch, along the way we saw a large protest about a number of different causes, its exciting living in london and bumping into these things. After our make-do picnic we carried on walking and made it to Canary Wharf (took two hours all together) we then cycled home from Canary Wharf and had a relaxing evening in, lovely day!

My days are becoming duller by the second and I’m climbing the walls dying to do something more exciting than book work and app development! Not that I don’t love it, it just gets tiring leading up to deadlines when it’s constant working.. anyway, working on my Travelling book today, so I’m taking notes from my diary I kept during the 5 weeks! Isn’t it just the cutest?

Our last day in Paris before travelling home in the evening! We decicded to get some more sight seeing in by visiting Nortre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe  and lastly Sacré-Cœur Basilica. All very interesting places that were beautiful to photograph, and we had a picnic in front of the Eiffel tower, a lovely end to an exciting few days!
