01/03/19 – Happy face!

I ran nine miles this morning! In a big loop to the post office to pick up a package that could have been 100% posted through our letter box. But I’m still so pleased with my run!

This evening I had Sharon round to see the house for the first time and have a cracking catch up with red wine and pizza. Good friends make all the difference to my life.

31/07/17 – Volunteering and running!

This evening I headed down to Battersea to do my first ever GoodGym event. The idea is pretty simple, it’s a community of runners that combines getting fit with doing good. So after a shortish run I went into clean the walls of a community centre before running back again! See, simple and rewarding!

20/07/16 – Run with lots of Sun — Jul 20, 2016

20/07/16 – Run with lots of Sun

Tonight was the JP Corporate run! This is the third year I’ve ran this race, and last year’s race was actually one of my first days I blogged about on here, in this current streak. It was sweltering this year though, I ran 5.6km in a respectable 35 minutes, but it was still 5 minutes slower than last year! I did grab this photo though which I’m pleased about as I was seconds away from just turning into a Steph puddle…

01/09/15 – Seal of approval for today! — Sep 2, 2015

01/09/15 – Seal of approval for today!

I started today off with a six mile run along Monterey Bay! I’m trying to keep up my running as I have my half marathon in a month or so, but California is WARM… But I’m trying!

As the weather started off quite cloudy today we decided to drive to Carmel, stopping off to see a few basking seals along the way! There’s tens of them in that second photo if you look close.

Finally we ended the day with a spot of sunbathing – lovely!

11/08/15 – Running from West to East — Aug 11, 2015

11/08/15 – Running from West to East

Today after work Corinne and I ran from West London to East London! It was a very soggy run but we did it, and it was really nice to have the cool weather for a change

Corinnes longest ever run at 11.65km! And I carried on a bit to Victoria for a total of 13.25km. Still got a way to go to get back onto top form, but I’m now much calmer about this year’s half marathon. Keep on running!

12/07/15 – Third time ‘running’ — Jul 12, 2015

12/07/15 – Third time ‘running’

7am start today for us as I ran the British 10k London Run (for the third year in a row) which kicked off at 9:35. Always a tough race as it’s normally sweltering, and today was no different. They have also changed the route to be more hilly and included 6 or 7 times where you double back on yourself.. Not fun.

Still, I did it! And I was pretty happy with my result of 1:00:55 as I felt like I really had to push through the heat and crowd, though it is nearly 6 minutes of my most recent PBs.. But with over 25,000 people it’s understandably hard to get those targets!

The rest of the day was lolling about reading and helping Nic cooking a cracking roast dinner, fantastic end to the weekend.

08/07/15 – First race of 2015

Two days in a row, off to a cracking start, pat on the back.

Today I ran my first race of the year, The JP Corporate Run. It’s a 5.6km run around Battersea Park, and it went really well as I beat last years time finishing at 30:55!

I’ve been a keen runner now for about three years, though I’m definitely not the fastest, I really enjoy it, especially seeing my improvements! Early this year I started a little running club at my work (Miles for Lunch), so the biggest satisfaction of tonight was seeing my little running buddies do great as well!
