Claire and I went to see McFly today!! They performed in Hyde Park as part of the BT Live festival. And before anyone makes fun of me, I loved it, and don’t care! It was amazing seeing them live, and I’ll be dead cold before I’ll turn down the opportunity to dance around in a field to some upbeatContinue reading “04/08/2012 – We saw McFly! Loving life.”
It’s Friday, which means I finish an hour early from work! Went out in London today with a couple guys from work, and it was really fun. Didn’t take any photos, but I did take this of my work notes book. The weekend is here! Excuse me while I sleep, a lot.
Claire and I went to Victoria Park today for ‘BT live’ after work. We went on the ferris wheel and saw some amazing views over London (annoying, I forgot my SLR, and my phone photos were quite poor). Whilst walking home we went a bit off route to see how close we could get toContinue reading “02/08/2012 – Olympic Village Outskirts”
Another lovely day in London. Decided to get away from work for a bit, and cycled to London bridge for lunch and a relax. The views are lovely around here, and I’m still enjoying myself! It’s nice to have a proper break from the office on the grass next to the river.
My Sister came to visit today, and in order to celebrate Claire made mass quantities of Mojito’s! We didn’t have a ‘fancy’ jug, so we made it in a blender. You could never tell we were recently students… ‘ehrm’..
An on-going joke between myself and Claire (my flatmate, if you haven’t already picked up on) is that our flat’s nickname is ‘The Bat Cave’ it is the name of the wireless, which obviously confirms it’s official status. Anyway, to the point, we made Bat Cookies! We used this recipe and they did not disappoint! SoContinue reading “29/07/2012 – Batman Cookies!”
The weekend has arrived! And after a well deserved lie-in, Claire and I went on another explore around London. We walked to Mile End park first off to eat lunch, along the way we saw a large protest about a number of different causes, its exciting living in london and bumping into these things. AfterContinue reading “28/07/2012 – Walking around London”
So tonight we watched the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, and it did not let us down! We really enjoyed it, and felt really patriotic! The fireworks were fantastic at the end, and this by far is my favourite photo I took! We didn’t expect the red statue to have fireworks also, greatContinue reading “27/07/2012 – Olympics Opening Ceremony!”
Finally got my SLR out to get a decent photo of the Olympic Stadium from our balcony, and I’m SO happy how it turned out! It’s really exciting being so central to all the Olympic events going on, I never thought I’d be this interested! (Sorry to anyone who’s not bothered! It’s only for anotherContinue reading “26/07/2012 – SLR Olympic Shot!”
London’s (well, nearly the entirety of Britain) has been hit with a scorcher of a heat wave this week, and today wasn’t an exception. Another day of 30 degrees heat, and sunbathing during my lunch break. After work I did a huuuge walk with my flatemate Claire as we went to buy Timmy (the binny,Continue reading “24/07/2012 – Another Sunny Day”
