15/04/21 – Down by the water

There’s nothing quite like a sunset stroll to calm down after a busy day at work. And this evening, that’s just what mum and I did. We popped down the bay to walk on the waterfront for an hour just nattering away as the sun dipped below the horizon. I even managed to get someContinue reading “15/04/21 – Down by the water”

26/02/21 – Morning reflection

This morning I went for a speedy 5km run. It was 2 degrees, a clear blue sky with the sun shining – ideal conditions. Once I got back home I noticed there was still steam rising off me so I went into the garden to stretch and cool down. The birds were chirping, the sunContinue reading “26/02/21 – Morning reflection”

23/02/21 – Spring is springing!

Seeing this tree in full blossom made me so happy this morning! I was out on an hours walk before work with Corinne on the phone. It was such a gorgeous dawn and a wonderful opportunity to find the time to catch up with great friend. In some other wholesome news, after dinner I spentContinue reading “23/02/21 – Spring is springing!”

23/11/20 – Local wanderer

Nic and I have today and tomorrow booked off work. Today we walked seven miles around our local area wandering the scenic routes between errands. We stopped for a while to watch these parakeets shouting loudly at a squirrel in that hole in the tree! We’re not too sure who we were rooting for though…Continue reading “23/11/20 – Local wanderer”

31/10/20 – Another soggy exploration

We headed out in the car again today to get more walking in! We walked another 6 miles Kingston area and the weather managed to be even more atrocious than yesterday. So much so my pockets had puddles of water in each of them… But it was another wonderful day battling the elements, now feelingContinue reading “31/10/20 – Another soggy exploration”

19/09/17 – Turning leaves

I read an article the other day that said Britain is unique for it’s multitude of leaf colours. I can’t believe this is specific to us as I know I’ve seen photos from other countries having amazing autumnal scenes. But either way it’s made me really take notice of the beautiful colours changing around me!

01/08/17 – Sun’s out!

After a dreery few days in London it was so nice to see the sun come out from it’s hiding place! Nic and I got some good news today and decided to celebrate with a Tuesday night date night on Brick Lane. All will be revealed soon enough but for now just keep your fingersContinue reading “01/08/17 – Sun’s out!”

20/09/15 – Crunchy Leaves and Relaxation

Nic and I booked in today as an official duvet two weeks ago… It was well needed as the last month has felt non-stop. I’m feeling very chilled this evening so it’s definitely worked! Being true to myself, I struggled to do absolutely nothing.. so I cycled down to Penge in the morning and hadContinue reading “20/09/15 – Crunchy Leaves and Relaxation”

11/09/15 – Raining Acorns

What a lovely Friday I’ve had so far – I say so far as we’re currently waiting on the arrival of Nic’s parents so that’ll be nice as well! Today was a good day in work as I plowed through a lot of work, and had ‘breakfast for lunch’ with Fae! Then to top itContinue reading “11/09/15 – Raining Acorns”

22/07/15 – Surprise Flowers

I finally managed to cycle into work today which means I am officially on the mend, huzzah! The best part of today though was coming home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my lovely Mum. They are a get well present and they certainly put a smile on my face today!
