We got the ferry to Staten Island today to get pictures of the lady herself, the Statue of Liberty. It’s a great way to get close view of the front of the statue, and a fun (free!) boat ride! Another day of walking and exploring!

24/11/2012 – Ground Zero
We visited Ground Zero today, the memorial site for the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers. It was a sollum atmosphere, very peaceful and respectful. We spent a lot of today on the hop-on-hop-off NYC tour bus learning more about the areas, but my was it damned cold!
23/11/2012 – New York City’s Times Square
Another full packed day exploring New York City! We spent a lot of aboard the hop-on-hop-off tour bus, getting our bearings of the different areas. New York is proving to be a very exciting city with so much always going on. It’s definitely the city that doesn’t sleep, and I’m loving it!
22/11/2012 – Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
Our full first day in New York City, and what a day it was! It’s Thanks Giving, so we went to watch the Thanks Giving Parade! Holiday has commenced, and set off to a brilliant start. T-minus 2 days until New York! I’m beyond excited, yet still haven’t packed.. I’m being all good and healthy though! Normal day at work, only one more day left in the office!
18/11/2012 – I ran 11km!
Well I only bloody went and ran 11km! This is definitely not the most attractive photo of me, but give me a break, I ran 11k! I’m so proud, so excuse the ‘braggy’ post today, it’s the only photo I took!
17/11/2012 – I Gots me a New Coat!
Whilst I haven’t even thought about packing for New York (I’m going for a week this Wednesday!), I’ve made a bit of progress in getting a new (and much warmer) coat! This was the photo I sent to my Mum for final approval.
