The sun is shining in our back garden this morning! Day one without our huge tree casting a shadow and I love it. Even the bathroom is so bright – progress!
After last month’s pigeon fiasco, our tree surgeons have returned to take down the remainder of the tree today. I was greeted by this site as I arrived home, and that was hardly anything compared to the entire trunk they then pulled down!
Well I’m definitely ill. The only positive to this is I absolutely slammed my way through my latest puzzle is a record four days… I did really enjoy it though, even if I was hacking my lungs up along the way.
We finally got our new fire pit out this evening! It was so lovely to sit with a gin next to a roaring fire. The perfect end to summer as it begins to transition into autumn.
I definitely have some sort of chest infection. I’ve been hacking away in pain today and utterly exhausted. To the extent I had to have a lunchtime lie down.
After finishing my last puzzle so quickly, I got a new one! I started it this night and have nearly finished all the edges. I’m already loving it!
I had a lovely catch up with Sharon this evening. Exceptionally civilised, with only one small glass of dessert wine, though I did have cheesecake. I walked past this shop on the way home, thought it was a hilarious thing to call a corner shop!
Tomato spaghetti with burrata on top! I’m in heaven. Tonight Nic and I went all out and it was bloody delicious! Who doesn’t deserve a Tuesday treat?
I just can’t get enough of jigsaw puzzles… Another one down, this one in only a week! I’ve already bought a new one to arrive later this week. I can’t be stopped!
Corinne and I went swimming today and it was really nice, very chilly but a lovely chance to catch up and feel invigorated!
