We’re in New York! We’ve had a really great (and very very long) first day. We flew here this morning, then spent the whole day wandering round, taking in the sights and sounds before finally getting back into bed 22 hours after getting out of bed this morning. It’s time for a well earned sleep!

19/05/22 – The trip begins!
After over two years we’re finally going to New York! We’ve done the first leg of the journey, getting to Heathrow. Despite living in the same city, it took us 2.5 hours to get here! But we’ve made it, now it’s time to relax!

10/04/22 – Worthing day out
Today is mine and Nic’s eight year anniversary! We spent the day exploring Worthing as a potential house move destination but decided we don’t think it’s for us. We still had a really nice day out none the less! I enjoyed walking along the sea front.

24/03/22 – Lisbon views!
The sun came out for a bit today and it was actually warm! Then it started absolutely pouring down again, but it was wonderful whilst it lasted. We walked about 7 miles today around the city finding some great views including this one, and discovering the beautiful botanical gardens nearby. That’s it, we now both have four days off work! We kicked it off with a gorgeous pasta dinner and some drinks. It even stopped raining as we walked back from dinner! 22/03/22 – Damp Lisbon evening
Much soggier evening tonight, but we still managed to have a lovely time. Pints after work then dinner in a traditional Portuguese restaurant, outside but with a heater, sheltered from the rain. One more day until we’re “actually” on holiday!
